Job summary

Seaboard Foods is hiring a Sow Farm Assistant Supervisor to care for swine and assist in supervising farm staff. You will follow SOPs, maintain herd health, and support daily operations under the manager’s direction.

The role requires English proficiency, with an Associate degree or related experience preferred. Duties include training, scheduling, record-keeping, and ensuring safety and reporting compliance on the farm.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English language, reading and writing within a farm operations context.
• Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed and facilities are in good working condition.
• Maintain high herd health and biosecurity while keeping accurate records of animals, employees, and supplies.
• Train employees on day-to-day processes to develop a competent workforce.
• Supervise and schedule groups of employees and act as manager when supervisor is absent.
• Ensure weekly and daily reports are submitted timely and accurately.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.
• Follow medication and vaccination protocols for the farm.
• Maintain the alarm system and respond to alarms properly.
