Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Bloomfield, IA is seeking a Sow Farm Assistant Supervisor. You will attend to and care for swine and assist in supervising employees at the sow farm under the manager's direction.

Responsibilities include ensuring SOP adherence, maintaining herd health, training staff, supervising shifts, and timely reporting, with emphasis on safety, biosecurity, and accurate record-keeping. This role offers growth within a Fortune 500 employer.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English language, reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SOPs are followed and facilities are in good condition.
• Maintain high herd health and proper feeding/care with accurate records and reports.
• Train employees on day-to-day processes to develop a competent workforce.
• Supervise and schedule groups of employees and act as manager when supervisor not present.
• Ensure weekly and daily reports are submitted timely and accurately.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Follow medication and vaccination protocols for the farm.
• Maintain the alarm system and emergency systems and respond to alarm calls.
