Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a Sow Farm Supervisor to supervise and train staff, ensure animal health and biosecurity, and maintain records. You will follow SOPs, manage daily operations, and ensure timely reporting. The role requires English proficiency, an associate degree or equivalent, and the ability to lift and handle animal care tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• Must be proficient in English language, reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Attend and care to swine and assist in supervising employees at the Sow farm under direction of the manager.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed and facilities are in good working condition.
• Maintain high herd health and biosecurity; proper feeding and care of animals.
• Train employees on day-to-day processes to develop a competent workforce.
• Supervise and schedule groups of employees and act as manager when the supervisor is absent.
• Maintain accurate records of animals, employees, and supplies on the farm.
• Assist and ensure weekly and daily reports are submitted timely and accurately.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and vaccination protocols; maintain alarm and emergency systems.
