Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a Sow Farm Assistant Supervisor in Perryton, TX to supervise employees and attend to swine under the manager's direction. This role supports animal health, biosecurity, and operational reporting on the farm.

The position requires English proficiency; preferred candidates have an AA degree or related experience. Strong leadership and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Must be proficient in English language, reading and writing.
  • Preferred: Associate degree (AA) or equivalent, or 6 months to 1 year related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Maintain high herd health and adhere to biosecurity and proper feeding and care of animals while maintaining accurate records and reports of animals, employees, and supplies on the farm.
  • Train employees on day-to-day processes and procedures to develop a competent workforce by utilizing hands-on training methods.
  • Supervise and schedule groups of employees and act as manager when the supervisor is not present.
  • Assist and ensure that all weekly and daily reports are turned in timely and accurately.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Follow the assigned medication and vaccination protocols for the farm.
  • Maintain the alarm system and all emergency systems and answer alarm calls properly

We have an exciting Sow Farm Assistant Supervisor opportunity in Perryton, TX. In this role, you will attend to swine and assist in supervising employees at the sow farm under the direction of the manager.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Required:



  • Must be proficient in the English language, reading and writing


Preferred:



  • Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
