Job summary

Neuberger Berman seeks an Advisor Consultant to build and manage relationships with Financial Advisors across the Southwest (AZ, UT, NV, NM). You will expand sales of mutual funds, SMAs, ETFs, and alternatives through advisor meetings and client events.

The role requires a seasoned, results-driven professional with extensive experience in investment management and intermediary distribution, capable of engaging decision-makers and coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in investment management.
• 5+ years intermediary distribution experience preferred.
• Experience with wirehouses, regional, and independent financial advisors.
• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree a plus.
• CIMA, CAIA, or CFA designations a plus.
• SIE, Series 7, 66 or SIE, 7, 63, 65 licenses.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Southwest territory by actively developing relationships with advisors to promote business building ideas and services; maintain and grow assets in territory across mutual funds, SMAs, alternative investment products, and ETFs.
• Develop and implement a business plan for the territory using activity-oriented goal objectives; make prospecting calls, create qualifying lists, and provide on-going service to existing and new clients.
• Maintain a high level of expertise related to capital markets and the investment management industry.
• Coordinate prospect meetings, final presentations, RFP activities and other sales support with internal partners.
• Exhibit a strong business acumen and executive sales presence to influence decision-makers.
• Maintain CRM activity and collaborate with internal teams.
• Maintain knowledge of Neuberger Berman products offered through partner firms.
