Job summary

HDR is seeking a Southwest Region Water Business Group Director to shape strategy, build teams, and drive growth across a fast-growing region. You will lead a high-performing regional team, champion innovation, and expand HDR's water practice through strategic opportunities and key client relationships.

You will collaborate with HDR leadership to balance growth with operational excellence while advancing HDR's strategic priorities across multiple markets in the Southwest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a professional, architecture, engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 12 years in a related field with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and work across regions.
• Collaborates with regional directors, managers and marketing leaders.
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
• Strong business skills and strategic acumen.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a bold regional growth strategy for HDR's Water Business Group in the Southwest.
• Identify market opportunities, trends, and client needs to expand HDR's footprint.
• Lead a high-performing regional leadership team in partnership with senior directors.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Drive business development, key client relationships and new market pursuits.
• Align strategy, resources and execution across the enterprise with Operations.
• Mentor and develop area leaders to strengthen HDR's leadership pipeline.
