Job summary

Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Commercial Surety Underwriting Regional Manager/Sr. Manager for the Southwest, based in cities such as Los Angeles, Denver, or Phoenix, with in-office and travel requirements within the region.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, 9+ years of underwriting experience and at least 4 years in management. Certifications (AFSB/CPA/RPLU) are preferred but not mandatory. Strong leadership and client-relations skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related discipline.
• 9+ years of related experience and 4+ years of management experience.
• Progression toward certification such as AFSB, CPA or RPLU preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze underwriting reports and risk factors for bonds.
• Own risk selection, pricing, retention, growth and profitability for the branch.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coach and develop the regional underwriting team and ensure high-quality customer service.
