The role requires deep surety expertise, strategic market development, and willingness to travel to foster key partnerships and client service across the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
• 5+ years in underwriting roles within the surety industry.
• Strong knowledge of commercial surety; travel willingness; authorized to work in the U.S.
• Proven ability to develop agency relationships and grow profitable business.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriter for the region; approve submissions within delegated authority.
• Develop regional marketing and production plans; visit agencies and brokers.
• Own portfolio profitability; monitor pricing, retention, and growth metrics.
• Recruit, train, and mentor underwriters; promote best practices.
• Provide responsive service to brokers and insureds; travel across the territory.
