Job summary

Augusta University seeks a Regional Community Relations Manager to lead Southwest Georgia outreach, building partnerships with civic leaders and regional authorities. The role requires a bachelor’s degree with five years in community relations or external engagement, with a preference for a master’s and university-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with five years of experience in community relations, public affairs, or external engagement.
• Masters degree is preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• Experience in a public research university or similarly complex organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build partnerships with civic leaders, chambers, and development authorities.
• Plan, develop, and execute regional events and engagement initiatives.
• Represent Augusta University at regional meetings and forums.
• Coordinate with communications, marketing, alumni relations and government relations to ensure consistent messaging.
• Elevate awareness of Augusta University's contributions to regional economies and communities.
• Record interactions and report engagement outcomes to leadership.
