Job summary

Alabama Baptist Children's Homes & Family Ministries in Mobile seeks an Area Director to oversee the Southwest Alabama region (Mobile and Baldwin). You will align programs with the organization’s mission, manage staff, and work with partners including churches, government agencies, and community leaders.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staff development, program evaluation, and maintaining licensing compliance, while promoting Christ-centered services for families and children.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Current LMSW or LICSW license in Alabama.
• Minimum of five years’ work experience in a human services setting, including two years of supervisory/management experience in a childcare service setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop program objectives and goals for the Southwest Alabama area and implement plans.
• Ensure delivery of quality, Christ-centered services in all programs.
• Maintain accurate statistics and report them regularly to leadership.
• Oversee staff recruitment, supervision, training, and evaluation.
• Manage Family Care Program and annual operating budget within fiscal guidelines.
• Collaborate with service teams to promote engagement with churches, businesses, and the community.
