Job summary

Aquarion Water Authority seeks a seasoned Manager to lead our Southern Division, directing operations, maintenance, compliance, and capital projects. You will oversee pump stations, treatment facilities, and distribution systems, while ensuring safety, water quality, and regulatory adherence.

This role requires 24/7 on-call availability and community leadership. You will manage a team of 29 employees (including 25 union staff), collaborate with external agencies, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field is required.
Master's degree is preferred but not required.
Connecticut Class III Distribution Operator and/or Class IV Treatment Operator certification is required.

Responsibilities

Lead all operational, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and capital improvement activities within the Southern Division.
Oversee budgets and capital projects and manage a team, including union staff.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies, departments, and community partners; participate in on-call rotations 24/7.
