Job summary

V2X is seeking a field service technician to provide maintenance and support for alarm, CCTV, access control, and GBR systems across Alabama and Georgia. The role requires hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and customer-facing service.

You will perform routine and preventative maintenance, gather field data, and provide on-call emergency support as needed, with up to 100% travel and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with electronic alarm systems, including CCTV and related hardware.
• Experience with electronic access control systems and associated hardware.
• Experience programming software for electronic alarm and access control systems.
• GBR experience is a plus.
• Two years of related college is a plus.
• General knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/XP/7, MS Office, and CRM systems.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have a valid driver's license for state of employment and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and service repairs for customers with alarm, access control, CCTV, and GBR systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance inspections per manufacturer recommendations.
• Provide system performance analysis on IDS operational platform.
• Gather information from field to reproduce issues in lab environment.
• Provide 24/7 emergency service capability as needed.
• Install support for IDS, Access Control, CCTV, and GBR systems as required.
• Document all service calls and interface with the technical support center.
