Job summary

Security Engineers, Inc. in Alabama is seeking an organized Security Systems Technician who will configure, maintain, and program access control and VMS systems for client facilities. The role requires effective communication and proactive service to ensure high-quality support.

You will work with contractors, follow installation prints, and respond to trouble calls, including after-hours as needed. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel between client facilities are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of security systems technician experience or 3 years of related experience.
• Strong electronics/IT knowledge; data networks, cabling, and AC/DC voltage.
• Valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record meeting company standards.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, assemble, and program access control and VMS systems (card readers, door hardware, cameras, panic devices, gates, intercom).
• Coordinate with outside contractors on installations and repairs.
• Service and troubleshoot systems per guidelines and standards.
• Read and follow installation prints and diagrams.
