As HDR Southeast Region Area Safety Manager, you'll be responsible for:

1. Managing the company's SH&E program regionally, demonstrating expertise in safety management.
2. Leading SH&E staff support for all regional requirements in office and field environments.
3. Collaborating with senior management to implement safety programs effectively.
4. Facilitating SH&E training and audits, including inspections, behavior-based safety observations, and Job Hazard Analysis reviews.
5. Assessing site conditions, contract requirements, and applicable federal, state, and industry standards.
6. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive SH&E management system aligned with HDR's corporate policies.
7. Overseeing project safety managers and coordinators to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
8. Supporting environmental compliance activities, including sampling, testing, and reporting non-compliance when necessary.
9. Promoting waste reduction initiatives and safety training across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or related field.
• Experience in construction, mining, water infrastructure, DOT, Oil & Gas, or A&E sectors.
• At least 5 years managing and leading safety teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in SH&E.
• Certifications such as CIH, CSP, ASP, CHMM, CHST, GSP, or equivalent project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and ANSI standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
