Qualifications

As HDR's Southeast Region Area Safety Manager, your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and demonstrating expertise in the company's SH&E program regionally.
2. Leading SH&E staff support for regional requirements in office and field environments.
3. Collaborating with senior management to implement SH&E programs effectively.
4. Facilitating SH&E training and audits, overseeing safety protocols, and reviewing Job Hazard Analyses.
5. Assessing site conditions, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and industry standards.
6. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive SH&E management system aligned with HDR policies.
7. Providing support and oversight to project safety teams, developing safety plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
8. Maintaining safety training and conducting safety and environmental audits, including corrective actions.
9. Coordinating environmental sampling/testing and reporting non-compliance when required.
10. Overseeing waste reduction programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or related field.
• Experience in construction, mining, water infrastructure, DOT, Oil & Gas, or A&E sectors.
• At least 5 years managing teams in SH&E roles.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in SH&E fields.
• Certifications such as CIH, CSP, ASP, CHMM, CHST, GSP, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA & ANSI standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team skills.
