Job description

Signia by Hilton Atlanta is seeking a talented Sous Chef to lead their culinary team! This 976-room property offers over 140,000 sq. ft. of banquet space and 8 unique F&B outlets.

This role primarily supports The Lobby Bar and Club Signia.

The ideal candidate will be a creative culinary professional with 3–5 years of leadership experience in a high-volume setting. Responsibilities include overseeing a team of 10 culinary professionals, managing multiple outlets, ordering, scheduling, mentoring, controlling costs, and contributing to menu development. Hotel experience is preferred. This is a great opportunity for a driven culinary leader to advance their career.

Shift Pattern: Full-Time; availability including weekdays, weekends, and holidays is required.

What will I be doing?

As Sous Chef, you will assist in directing and overseeing culinary operations to deliver exceptional guest service and financial success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Executive Chef in all culinary activities, including meal preparation, food quality, safety standards, team performance, policy implementation, and cost control.
  • Creating and implementing menus for special events based on current food trends and regional tastes, in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol regulations.
  • Monitoring and developing team member performance through supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling, and recognition.
