Job summary

The Preserve at Ironhorse in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Sous Chef to help prepare meals per our standard recipes. You will portion meals, prep ingredients, and maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen while delivering impeccable food presentation.

You will work with a team in a fast-paced environment, with a 40-hour weekly schedule, weekend nights required, and a $21–$25/hour wage plus a $250 hiring bonus after the first month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cooking experience.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and organization skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes.
• Memorize and utilize serving portion sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
• Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
• Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
• Monitor product freshness and rotate out old products based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
