Goodwin Recruiting is partnering with a polished-casual, award-winning restaurant group in Newark, DE to recruit a hands-on Sous Chef. You will partner with the Executive Chef to run daily back-of-house operations, coach hourly staff, and advance toward an Executive Chef role while also guiding FOH teams for a seamless guest experience.

The role emphasizes scratch cooking, wood-fired cuisine, and a path to leadership within a growing company known for hospitality and internal promotion.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of culinary management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Scratch kitchen experience required.
• Experience leading FOH as well as BOH.
• Hands-on butchering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee back-of-house operations with the Executive Chef.
• Lead daily food production and ensure consistent recipe execution.
• Coach and develop hourly culinary team members.
• Maintain food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
