Job summary

Creative Dining Services is seeking a Sous Chef in Grand Rapids, MI to plan and direct food preparation and to supervise staff, with additional administrative duties as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent, a Culinary Arts Degree is preferred, 1–3 years cooking experience, ServSafe Certification, and First Aid training. We offer competitive pay and benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance and a 401(k) match.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct food preparation to ensure timely service.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff.
• Read and understand function sheets for menus and events.
• Produce prep sheets and duty rosters.
• Utilize batch cooking techniques and open/close kitchen as required.
