Job summary

SSA Group at Snook Haven in Venice, FL is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. You will support kitchen leadership, mentor staff, maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation, and help ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced setting.

You will work under the Executive Chef, help with menu pricing, training, and enforcing food safety standards, HACCP knowledge, and a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Three years of food preparation experience.
• ServSafe or Food Handling Certified.
• Knowledge of HACCP and culinary training.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, welcoming, and memorable experiences for every guest and client.
• Supervise and participate in creating high-quality products for events and food service locations.
• Assist in menu pricing and preparation.
• Train, coach, and develop staff; resolve problems.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitary practices.
