Job summary

Compass Group USA in Cincinnati, OH 45207 seeks a full-time Sous Chef to lead the kitchen and support the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods. You will coordinate cooks and food-service associates and assume responsibility when the Executive Chef is unavailable.

Key duties include following approved recipes, meeting production deadlines, supervising staff, and ensuring proper food handling, safety, and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and performance reviews.
• Stores food properly and follows all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Maintains proper food handling, presentation, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Ensures sanitation of equipment and workstation and keeps display equipment clean.
