Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, a Hilton Resort & Spa, seeks a passionate Sous Chef to lead our bustling kitchen and deliver exceptional dining experiences. You will collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan menus, supervise staff, and uphold the highest culinary standards.

Qualifications

• College degree or certification in culinary or hospitality preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen
• Knowledge of a variety of culinary techniques and cuisines
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to manage inventory, including ordering and receiving products
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations

Responsabilités

• Lead daily kitchen operations and ensure quality
• Plan menus with Executive Chef and contribute to menu development
• Recruit, train, and coach kitchen staff to maintain high performance
• Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls to maximize efficiency
• Ensure strict hygiene, health, and safety standards in all prep and service activities
