Job summary
Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is seeking a Sous Chef to oversee the Culinary Department for a healthcare facility in Ventura, CA. You will supervise and assist in preparation, cooking, and menu development, working with the Executive Chef to deliver high-quality patient and staff dining experiences.
The role requires strong cost control, menu planning, high-volume kitchen leadership, and collaboration with the Executive Chef to develop new menus.
Qualifications
- A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or related field.
- Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food cost controls, sanitation, and menu development.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures.
- Assist with planning and creating menus.
- Produce and execute catering events.
- Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary team.
