Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group USA company, is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the Culinary Department for a healthcare facility. You will supervise, prepare, and cook diverse items, develop daily menus, and assist with ordering.

This energetic culinary professional will work with the Executive Chef to deliver exceptional patient and café dining experiences. You may supervise hourly staff and drive new program rollouts, focusing on quality, sanitation, and cost control in a high-volume

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful.
• Knowledge of food trends, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, E-mail, Internet).
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities.
• ServSafe certified is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Assist in planning and creating menus.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary team.
