Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering company throughout the Southeast with a commitment to creating quality culinary concepts from scratch. This standard was upheld through the expansion into Sports and Entertainment Food & Beverage Services by providing elevated concessions and premium offerings to collegiate stadiums, PGA golf tournaments, International Boat Shows, Professional Sports Teams, & more.

We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef for Georgia Tech, located in Atlanta, GA to oversee the Premium Suites and Clubs operations at Bobby Dodd Stadium (Football), Zelnak Center (Basketball), Russ Chandler Stadium (Baseball), and the Student Athletics Training Table. The Executive Chef would oversee all culinary aspects including menu development, day-to-day operations, employee development, budget management, and kitchen management.

Responsibilities
  1. Overseeing and effectively managing all day-to-day duties to ensure that each service time is executed flawlessly from start to finish.
  2. Plan and execute game-day menus for football, basketball, baseball, and the Student Training Table.
    • Football oversees 77 suites, 4 clubs, bars, and 2 premium concessions.
    • Baseball oversees 8 suites and 1 club area.
    • Basketball oversees 1 large club area.
    • Student Training table runs daily with 2 meal periods.
  3. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; and maintaining security systems.
  4. Creating and maintaining the overall morale of the kitchen and culinary team.
  5. Schedules staff and food production in accordance with the demands of business, the direction of the Executive Chef, and company policies.
  6. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new culinary staff.
  7. Assist the Executive Chef with logistical planning and execution of events as directed.
  8. Assist with purchasing and inventory management for all culinary operations.
  9. Develop, implement, and communicate creative menu items that adhere to the Proof of the Pudding standard of innovation and excellence.
  10. Be a lead in the hiring, training, accountability, and scheduling of the culinary staff.
  11. Lead and coach the culinary department to develop a strong and growing team.

Performs other related duties as needed.

Required Qualifications
  1. 2+ years of leadership experience in high-volume catering or events.
  2. A degree/training in the culinary arts, hospitality management, or equivalent.
  3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, internal and external email communications, and purchasing procedures.
  4. Must be a leader looking to grow themselves and a team.
  5. Must live near or be willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA.

  2. Excellent listening and communication skills.
  3. Ability to run a business as if you own it.
  4. Exceptional knife skills, knowledge of a variety of culinary techniques, and the ability to teach these skills.

Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be event operations and working out of the Football Stadium or similar venues. This position will often move throughout campus and stadium grounds on different terrains.

Physical Demands
  1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  2. Prolonged periods of standing, moving throughout a kitchen and venue, bending, lifting, and reaching.
  3. Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.
Position Salary & Benefits
  1. This is considered a Full-time Hourly position.
  2. Proof is pleased to provide all full-time eligible employees with Basic Life and AD&D as well as long-term disability at no cost to employees.
