Job Description

The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the kitchen and food production outlets, ensuring costs are minimized.

Responsibilities
  • Implement all Omni Hotel and company policies/procedures, maintaining service standards within budget.
  • Assist in budgeting, controlling costs, and reporting variances with recommendations.
  • Advise the Executive Chef on kitchen matters and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain standards for purchasing and receiving, working with the storeroom manager and food and beverage controller.
  • Evaluate product quality, focusing on yield, market price, and wastage.
  • Inspect all food service sections during service to uphold standards.
  • Control equipment and schedule maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Customer service experience; administrative experience preferred.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Culinary Arts preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar programs; excellent organizational skills.
  • Positive, energetic communication skills.
  • Minimum 5 years at an Executive Sous Chef or Sous Chef level in a 4-star or higher establishment.
  • Serve Safe certified food manager.
  • Flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
