Job description

Job Title: Sous Chef

We are hiring immediately for full-time Sous Chef positions at Intuit, located at 2750 Coast Avenue, Mountain View, CA 94043. Online applications are accepted only.

Pay Range: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods, coordinate activities of kitchen staff, and assume responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Cook and prepare food following recipes and standards, meeting deadlines.
2. Supervise food service staff, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
3. Store food safely, adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures.
4. Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance.
5. Maintain sanitation of equipment and work areas.
6. Interact with customers to resolve complaints and relay information to supervisors.
7. Understand and explain menu items accurately.
8. Manage peak production and service hours effectively.
9. Monitor inventory, deliveries, and track product usage and waste.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
