AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic and optimistic leader for the Sous Chef, Full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday with occasional weekends as needed.

Founded in 1960, AVI Foodsystems has become a trusted name in food service, emphasizing high-quality, fresh ingredients, impeccable service, and value.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare meals and food to meet specifications promptly.
  2. Measure ingredients and portions accurately.
  3. Ensure staff adherence to standards, procedures, rules, and sanitation.
  4. Use kitchen equipment such as knives, grills, ovens, steamers, and warmers.
  5. Manage inventory, ensuring freshness and quality of supplies.
  6. Maintain proper food temperatures during cooking and storage.
  7. Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and sanitized.
  8. Assist with kitchen opening, closing, and other duties as directed by the Executive Chef.
Job Requirements:
  1. Culinary degree preferred.
  2. At least two years of experience in a culinary leadership role.
  3. Experience in high-volume catering is a plus.
  4. Strong relationship-building skills through active listening.
  5. Ability to adapt to changing conditions.
  6. Comfortable in fast-paced environments.
