Job summary

Arbor Lodging and Renaissance Milwaukee West are seeking a Sous Chef to join our Culinary Team in Milwaukee, WI. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations across outlets, mentor staff, ensure quality and consistency, and support menu execution.

You will collaborate with hotel leadership to meet cost goals, maintain sanitation standards, and drive guest satisfaction. Flexible availability including evenings and weekends is required for this full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Culinary leadership experience.
• Fine dining and/or full-service hotel experience a plus.
• Flexible availability including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily culinary operations across all outlets.
• Train, develop, and manage performance of direct reports.
• Ensure high quality, properly prepared food and timely service.
• Assist in scheduling and attendance functions.
• Maintain kitchen records, recipe cards, and cost controls.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards throughout the kitchen.
• Support cost goals for food, labor, and expenses.
• Handle dangerous kitchen equipment safely.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
