Job summary

Bon Appetit Management Company seeks a Sous Chef to oversee the Culinary Department in a facility, assisting with supervision, preparation, and menu development. You will work with the Executive Chef to craft menus and support catering events, driving quality and consistency across service.

This role offers leadership opportunities in a dynamic, high-volume environment with a focus on innovation, food safety, and guest satisfaction across diverse client accounts.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience preferred.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful.
• Knowledge of trends in food and catering; quality focus.
• Proficient with computers including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email and Internet.
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities.
• ServSafe certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Chef with cost controls and expenditures.
• Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Produces and executes catering events.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
