Responsibilities:

  • Manage BOH shifts, ensuring effective operations including food prep, cooking, inventory management, and supervising kitchen, dish, and BOH teams.
  • Lead BOH pre-shift meetings, conduct line, temp, and cooler checks, and participate in food tastings.
  • Collaborate with GM and managers/chefs to review and maintain recipe books.
  • Perform regular line checks to ensure quality of all menu items.
  • Order food and supplies, and assist in tracking and controlling food costs.
  • Communicate effectively between FOH and BOH regarding food production and timing.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing BOH staff.
  • Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Handle challenges with tact and courtesy, maintaining professionalism.
  • Work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and possibly overnight travel.
  • Lift up to 10 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of sous chef experience in a full-service restaurant.
  • Leadership and management skills for kitchen staff.

Salary Range: USD $55,000 - $75,000 per year.
