Aba, the Mediterranean restaurant with a California influence, will open in Nashville’s Wedgewood/Houston neighborhood in Summer 2025. Led by Top Chef Alum Chef Partner CJ Jacobson, this will be Aba’s fourth location, with others in Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, and Miami, FL.

Aba is coming to Nashville and is now hiring Sous Chefs!

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing BOH shifts, ensuring food prep, cooking, inventory, and supervising kitchen teams
  • Leading pre-shift meetings, line checks, and tastings
  • Collaborating with GM and managers to maintain recipes
  • Performing quality checks on menu items
  • Ordering food and supplies, tracking food costs
  • Communicating effectively between FOH and BOH
  • Hiring, onboarding, training, and developing BOH staff
  • Promoting teamwork and professionalism
  • Handling guest, vendor, and employee challenges with tact and courtesy
  • Working various shifts and locations, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and overnight travel as needed
  • Moving and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of sous chef experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Leadership skills to manage kitchen staff

Salary Range: USD $55,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 per year.
