What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Sous Chef, you will ensure all food items meet culinary standards and provide residents with an exceptional dining experience while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste. You will inspect all aspects of culinary service, including logs, cooking equipment, storage, and food service, to ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitation. The role also involves performing sanitation tasks, cleaning equipment and workstations, and ensuring foot safety. Additionally, you will assist in leading the culinary team in daily operations.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • A passion for working with seniors
  • A flexible, energetic, and positive personality
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • At least two years of experience as a chef in large-scale operations (preferred)
  • Experience in dietary services within LTC/SNF/AL/MC settings (preferred)
  • Professional appearance and behavior
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
