Job summary

Flower Child is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations in our Austin location. The role requires strong management of high-volume service, team leadership, and an eye for quality and efficiency to deliver healthy, flavorful dishes.

You will oversee daily kitchen operations, coordinate with front-of-house, ensure consistent product quality, and maintain cleanliness while coaching and developing staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years high-volume restaurant management experience.
• Demonstrate an understanding of business operations and financials.
• Coach, lead and develop restaurant team.

Responsibilities

• Manage shifts including scheduling and planning.
• Create memorable dining experiences by exceeding guest expectations.
• Understand flavors, aromas, and characteristics of ingredients.
• Ensure product quality and restaurant cleanliness.
• Perform calmly in a high-volume environment.
• Coach and develop the restaurant team.
• Oversee POS systems and digital reservations (OpenTable).
