Job summary

Pizza Bear is a new counter-service sourdough pizza shop in Coral Gables seeking a motivated team member to join the opening crew. You will handle pizza prep, dough work, and service during busy periods, learning our craft as we grow.

We offer hands-on training in sourdough and pizza making, staff meals, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to advance with the brand. Competitive hourly pay based on experience + tips.

Qualifications

• Kitchen or pizza experience preferred, but we’ll train the right person.
• Interest in sourdough, fermentation, or bread is a big plus.
• Comfortable working fast in a busy environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and a good teammate.
• Takes feedback well and pays attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Available nights and weekends.
• Food Handler certification (or willing to get it).

Responsibilities

• Stretch, top, and bake pizzas to spec during service, keeping quality consistent at every volume.
• Help with daily dough production: mixing, portioning, balling, and managing fermentation.
• Prep sauces, toppings, and salads using our recipes and prep lists.
• Run the oven: manage heat, timing, and rotation.
• Keep your station clean, organized, and up to food safety standards.
• Work closely with the counter team so orders go out hot and accurate.
