JCPenney is seeking a Sourcing Senior Specialist to manage direct import buys, drive cost and delivery performance, and resolve quality and delivery issues. You will analyze costs, negotiate pricing, and lead Time and Action processes with cross-functional teams to meet IMU and delivery targets.

The role emphasizes building supplier relationships, conducting season analyses, and influencing executive decisions. Strong negotiation and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience in retail, apparel manufacturing, quality and trade agreements preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to build relationships cross-functionally.
• Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task successfully and prioritize while meeting critical deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute brand or product category and report directly to the Director.
• Work to build effective strategic relationships with cross-functional partners, internal stakeholders, external suppliers and teams to drive results and influence change.
• Manage internal and external teams and Time and Action to deliver on IMU, quality and delivery goals.
• Conduct pre-and post-season analysis and present findings and actions to executive management.
• Maintain detailed product cost information (CIP, Fabric).
• Responsible for negotiating program pricing and delivery.
• Monitor quality and delivery performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
• Manage move outs, cancellations, and liabilities.
