Job summary

JCPenney in Dallas is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to manage direct import buys, conduct resource development, and assist in resolving quality and delivery issues.

You will lead brand or product categories, negotiate program pricing, and monitor supplier performance while coordinating with cross-functional partners to achieve IMU and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience in retail, apparel manufacturing, quality and trade agreements preferred.
• Strong communication skills and negotiation skills; ability to build relationships cross-functionally.
• Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task successfully and prioritize while meeting critical deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)

Responsibilities

Overview

Sourcing Specialist

The Sourcing Senior Specialist will manage the placement and confirmation of all direct import buys and perform research into the development of new resources and assist in the resolution of quality and delivery issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute brand or product category and report directly to the Director
• Work to build effective strategic relationships with cross-functional partners, internal stakeholders, external suppliers and teams to drive results and influence change.
• Manage internal and external teams and Time and Action to deliver on IMU, quality and delivery goals.
