Job summary

Volt is immediately hiring a Sourcing Specialist in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on sourcing domestic and international suppliers for mechanical components, analyzing pricing and bids, and narrowing to the top 3 suppliers within a cross-functional team.

Ideal candidates have 3 years in a sourcing role, excellent communication and teamwork, and can pass a 7-year background check and drug test. This is a full-time onsite position with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of years experience in a Sourcing role - we are looking for someone whose core responsibilities were sourcing, not just purchasing.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Be able to pass a 7 year criminal background check and drug test

Responsibilities

• Source new domestic and international suppliers for a variety of mechanical components and parts
• Analyze pricing, supplier performance and bids to narrow suppliers down to top 3 in a team environment; working across multiple departments
• Negotiate costs and pricing
• Continuously analyze supplier performance and build relations and source new suppliers
