Job summary

Proper Voltage Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Sourcing and Procurement to own the mechanical components supply chain from early sourcing through production readiness.

You will build and manage supplier relationships, drive should-cost analyses, and lead negotiations to secure a scalable supplier base across NA and Asia, including on-site visits and audits. You will work closely with Engineering, Finance, and Leadership to ensure cost targets are met and supply risk is proactively managed as

Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management with direct ownership of supplier relationships for custom mechanical components.
• Proven experience sourcing metals, machined parts, thermal assemblies, sheet metal, or similar mechanical categories through production scale.
• Hands-on should-cost modeling experience to drive total cost of ownership decisions.
• Track record of building supplier ecosystems from early stage to production scale, not just managing inherited books.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end commodity strategy for custom mechanical components and develop supplier relationships.
• Lead supplier negotiations including pricing, terms, lead times, tooling, NRE, and contracts.
• Issue RFQs, manage quotes, scorecards, and selection recommendations.
• Partner with Engineering during NPI to source components ahead of builds and manage long-lead items.
• Monitor supply risk, qualify alternates, and build supplier operating rhythms with reviews and escalations.
• Collaborate with VP of Supply Chain on strategic direction and with Director on production readiness.
