General Tool Company is seeking a Sourcing Recruiter to build a robust talent pipeline for defense programs. The role emphasizes proactive sourcing and strategic relationship-building with candidates who aren’t actively seeking new opportunities.

The recruiter will partner with TA and HR, engage candidates across multiple channels, and maintain an accurate ATS while contributing to employer branding and market mapping within the defense ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience required.
• Strong preference for technical sourcing in defense, aerospace, or skilled manufacturing.
• Proficient with Boolean search strings, LinkedIn Recruiter, and ATS platforms.
• Clear communication and quick rapport-building with candidates and hiring managers.
• Stay organized across multiple open requisitions and own the pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the TA Manager and HR to understand role qualifications, culture fit, and citizenship requirements.
• Identify and engage passive and active candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, cold calls, job boards, internal ATS databases, and industry sources.
• Proactively sourcing talent instead of waiting for applications.
• Build and maintain diverse pipelines for evergreen and hard-to-fill roles in defense manufacturing.
• Screen resumes, outreach within 24 hours of identifying strong candidates, and hand off vetted prospects to recruiters.
• Maintain accurate ATS activity, deliver weekly pipeline metrics, and map talent in the defense sector.
