Job summary

Panthalassa is seeking a sourcing engineer to bridge early Node designs with external manufacturing at third party vendors in Portland, Oregon. The role requires evaluating designs, auditing supplier capabilities, and building a resilient supplier network with international reach.

You will collaborate with Node engineering on DFMs, drive cost and lead-time improvements, and manage overseas suppliers while travelling up to 35-40% of time.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Technical Sourcing, Supply Chain Engineering, Global Sourcing, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Experience auditing vendor capabilities and managing overseas suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Bridge between early Node designs and external manufacturing at third party vendors.
• Lead transition of components from low- to high-volume production suppliers.
• Evaluate CAD models and blueprints to determine manufacturing sources.
• Provide early feedback on feasibility, cost, lead times, and tolerancing.
• Build long-term supplier partnerships and drive continuous improvement.
