Job summary

Panthalassa, a renewable energy and ocean technology company, is hiring a Sourcing Engineer to bridge early Node designs and external manufacturers. You will guide transition from low- to high-volume production and evaluate supplier capabilities to meet safety, cost, and capacity targets.

You will work with Node engineering on DFM, perform vendor audits, and manage SRM with domestic and international manufacturers. Travel up to 35-40% is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Technical Sourcing or related fields.
• Proficient reading complex drawings and GD&T.
• Deep knowledge of machining, welding, and large forgings/castings.
• Experience auditing vendor shops and managing international suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Technical Sourcing & Evaluation: Analyze new designs to select manufacturing sources based on part complexity and vendor capabilities.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM): Provide early feedback on feasibility, cost drivers, lead times, and tolerancing to optimize designs.
• Supplier Capability Auditing: Vet and onboard domestic and international fabrication to Panthalassa’s needs.
• Technical Interface & Change Management: Be the main technical contact for suppliers with release packages and BOMs.
