Job summary

Formlabs is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager to drive supplier qualification and cost optimization for new products. You will partner with R&D to ensure supply readiness, manage PFEPs, and negotiate contracts to achieve value, quality, and risk mitigation.

You will travel internationally up to 20% to audit suppliers, support design changes, and lead continuous improvement in sourcing processes. A technical engineering background and data‑driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, manufacturing, or supplier quality engineering.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 20% for supplier audits and meetings.
• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication.
• Experience developing process quality plans and supplier audits.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong data analysis and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with R&D to identify and qualify suppliers for new product introductions.
• Own a PFEP in an NPI BOM and manage supplier selection, negotiation, and contracts.
• Facilitate communication of technical requirements between suppliers and Formlabs R&D.
• Research new manufacturing technologies and market intelligence for robust supply chain strategies.
• Identify supply risks, lead negotiations, and drive supplier performance improvements.
• Lead supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness with R&D.
• Own cost modeling and estimation for new products.
• Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to source material for NPI builds.
• Provide clear-to-build reports and leadership updates on material availability and costs.
