Job summary

Vizient is seeking a sourcing and contracting professional to help develop and execute strategies that reduce spend and improve client value. You will draft and redline contract terms, engage suppliers, analyze data, and support the full sourcing lifecycle with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires a business/SC/legal background, 2+ years of experience, and strong communication skills. It is a hybrid position with in-office days at multiple U.S. locations and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in business, supply chain, legal studies, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required.
• Foundational experience in contract review, redlining, or negotiation support preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with data and trend identification.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills for supplier discussions and stakeholder alignment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Hybrid work model with three days/week in the office (Irving, TX; Chicago, IL; Centennial, CO).
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and redlining contract terms under senior guidance.
• Participate in supplier negotiations by preparing materials and contributing to discussions.
• Support alignment between clients, suppliers, and internal teams by gathering information and documenting updates.
• Ensure contract documents reflect updates and adhere to standards.
• Escalate complex negotiation items to senior sourcing executives.
• Contribute to sourcing strategies by analyzing data and market insights.
• Assist in RFP creation, distribution, and initial evaluations.
• Coordinate supplier communications and scheduling for sourcing activities.
• Support contract maintenance activities including amendments, renewals, and pricing validations.
• Prepare materials summarizing sourcing progress and supplier updates.
