Job summary

Vizient is seeking a sourcing professional to develop and execute contracting strategies that reduce spend and improve client value. You will draft, redline, and negotiate terms under Legal guidance while supporting the full sourcing lifecycle from data analysis to supplier engagement and contract maintenance.

You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers, elevate complex negotiations to senior leaders, and contribute to data-driven sourcing strategies.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 2+ years of MedSurg or clinical experience required.
• Foundational experience in contract review, redlining, or negotiation support.
• Strong analytical skills with data and trend identification.
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills for supplier discussions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting and redlining contract terms under senior/Legal guidance.
• Participate in supplier negotiations by preparing materials and summarizing issues.
• Support alignment between clients, suppliers, and internal teams by gathering information.
• Ensure contract documents reflect updates and adhere to standards.
• Elevate complex negotiation items to senior sourcing executives for guidance.
• Contribute to sourcing strategies by collecting data and market insights.
• Assist in RFP creation, distribution, bid collection, and initial evaluations.
• Coordinate supplier communications and scheduling for sourcing activities.
• Support contract maintenance including amendments, renewals, and pricing validations.
• Prepare communications on sourcing progress, opportunities, and supplier updates.
