Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies is seeking a Sourcing and Proposals Intern to support the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Proposals and the sourcing and pricing teams. The role focuses on developing strategic supplier relationships and obtaining the most competitive pricing and lead-times on new bids.

The intern will assist in spend analysis, supplier selection, RFQ processes, and ongoing cost reduction initiatives, while gaining exposure to purchasing phase hand-offs and continuous

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or Business
• HS Diploma/GED required
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical data and drawings

Responsibilities

• Analyzes spend data/market trends to develop strategic sourcing initiatives
• Research and assist in supplier selection for strategic sourcing agreements/initiatives
• Send RFQs and gather pricing information for proposals
• Assist in maintaining approved supplier list
• Assist in cost reduction initiatives to ensure favorable PPV
• Assist in continuous improvement and optimization projects
• Additional duties as assigned by manager

This position is expected to work 20 hours/week, running 9/14 through 12/11

The Sourcing and Proposals Intern provides support to the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Proposals, as well as the sourcing and pricing teams. This position is responsible for supporting the strategic sourcing initiatives that contribute to our customer satisfaction and financial growth by developing strategic supplier relationships and obtaining the most competitive material pricing and lead-time on new bids to customers as well as being the point person in all material hand-offs from the bid phase to the purchasing phases.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Analyzes spend data/market trends to develop overall strategic sourcing initiatives
• Research and assist in selection of suppliers for strategic sourcing agreements/initiatives
• Send request for quotes and gather pricing information for proposals
• Assist in maintaining approved supplier list
• Assist in developing and implementing cost reduction initiatives to ensure favorable PPV
• Assist in continuous improvement and optimization projects
• Additional duties as assigned by manager

Job Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or Business
• HS Diploma/GED required
• Strong organizational and administrative skills

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced working environment
