Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Engineering Intern to support production projects and continuous improvement. You will gain hands-on experience in an electronics manufacturing environment while working roughly 20 hours per week.

The role involves assisting with process improvement, tooling design, testing support, and creating work instructions. Must be enrolled in an engineering program (Junior or Senior preferred) and have familiarity with Windows and MS Office;

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college or university Engineering program.
• Junior or Senior level preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Helps develop, improve and revise manufacturing processes.
• Helps design and implement tooling and fixtures for effective manufacturing.
• Helps analyze failures and troubleshoots to improve test yields.
• Supports purchasing, quality, test, and production departments to ensure product integrity is maintained.
• Supports cost justification studies and ROI for capital equipment.
• Creating and updating work instructions.
• Supports SOW development for equipment implementation and validation.

Job description

This position is expected to work 20 hours/week, running 9/14 through 12/11.

The Engineering Intern assists the Engineering team with production projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The position provides hands-on Engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.

Job Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college or university Engineering Program.
  • Junior or Senior level, preferred. Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering discipline, preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks, preferred.
