Job summary

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, OH is seeking a Food Runner for Sortino’s Italian Kitchen. You will take food and beverage orders, relay them to the kitchen, and deliver meals with proper service, while supporting the restaurant team to ensure a memorable guest experience.

Starting rate is $14.00 per hour. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work varied shifts including weekends, and contribute to a positive, family‑oriented environment that embodies the Kalahari Promise to Lead

Qualifications

• Take food and beverage orders in person and enter them in the POS system.
• Deliver orders to guests with trays in a timely manner.
• Eager to assist fellow associates during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in the point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
• Delivery food and beverage orders from kitchen and bar with appropriate service trays to guests in a timely manner.
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow associates (servers, bussers, host/hostess, and management) as situations rise.

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking aFood Runnerfor our Sortino’s Italian Kitchen Restaurant. In this roleyou will provide friendly, responsive service to create a beyond expectation dining experience for all guests. To actively participate as a team and use core values and service expectations listed in the Kalahari Promise daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in the point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
• Delivery food and beverage orders from kitchen and bar with appropriate service trays to guests in a timely manner.
• Be ready and willing to assist fellow associates (servers, bussers, host/hostess, and management) as situations rise.

What We’re Looking For

• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to lift and balance trays and busser tubs frequently.
• Must be able to work and be flexible with all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
