Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Sortino's Italian Kitchen Line Cook to assist the restaurant Chef in preparing and completing food items, while embodying our Promise to Lead with Love. Qualifications

• 1 year of progressive culinary experience in a hotel restaurant or related facility.
• State or Local Law may require a state-certified proper food handling certification; ServSafe certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of equipment to be operated, listed in the ad.
• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively; bilingual skills preferred but not required.
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.

Sortino's Italian Kitchen Line Cook

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Sortino's Italian Kitchen Line Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the restaurant Chef in the preparation and completion of food items. As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the facility recipes, portioning, cooking, timing, serving, and presentation standards.
• Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the culinary preventative maintenance programs.
• Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the kitchen areas, associates and guests.

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year of progressive culinary experience in a hotel restaurant/food outlet facility or related field helpful.
• State or Local Law may require a certificate upon completion of state-certified proper food handling certification. ServSafe® certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of equipment to be operated, but not limited to are: Flat grill, Pasta well, Steam table, Browning oven, Cheese chopper/grater, Steam jacket, Ovens, Top Burners, Pizza and Dessert Cooler, Slicer, Broiler, Steamer, and Knives.
• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively. Bi-lingual skills are preferred but not required.
• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
