Job summary

DoorDash Drive is seeking a strategic role to own the cost and capacity strategy of our sort network, aligning with Finance and Real Estate. You will forecast capacity, guide automation investments, and manage site selection and vendor contracts to scale our footprint efficiently.

You will influence cross-functionally, drive multi-provider 3PL strategy, and help balance cost with service and growth targets across the U.S. market.

Qualifications

• Experience building forward-looking capacity models across a logistics network.
• Experience leading automation investments to reduce cost per unit.
• Experience owning site selection and lease negotiations for new facilities.
• Direct experience negotiating commercial contracts with 3PLs, real estate, or vendors.
• Ability to build a multi-provider 3PL strategy to lower risk and improve leverage.
• Demonstrated cross-functional influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own capacity planning across the sort network, forecasting volume growth and throughput to prevent bottlenecks.
• Drive automation strategy to reduce cost-per-unit while maintaining sort quality.
• Lead real estate procurement, site selection and lease negotiations with Finance and Real Estate.
• Negotiate 3PL contracts to optimize cost, terms, and service levels.
• Diversify the 3PL network to reduce concentration risk and improve leverage.
• Partner with Finance, Real Estate, Automation Engineering, and Sort Quality to align cost strategy with growth targets.
